at the crossroads between singing and theatre, at the moment involves 12 actors-musicains, its leader Sergij Kovalevich, and a film team. It emerged in August 2006, when the group first met in Wroclaw, Poland.
It is a research and creation work, based on the Song of Songs text, also called Song of Salomon, from the Ancient Testament, well known as Canticle of Canticles.
This project is fed by a research on the traditional singing principles. Its aim is to produce work presentations, as performances and concerts, but also films, texts, and educational activities. It is meant to be a theatrical observatory of objective drama.
We are diverse in languages, religious and cultural backgrounds, as well as theatrical experiences. However, by choosing The Song of Songs as our material for work, we decided to overcome what is determined by our particular culture models and use these differences as a constructive way to explore what transgresses these differences.
